Saw this place on the news a few months ago! It’s apparently a pretty big pho chain in Vietnam, and they opened up their first shop here in Tokyo. It’s pretty hard to find good pho in Japan, so we had to try it out! Since it’s located in Ikebukuro (a little far from where we live), it took a while to make it over here, but we finally did it!

First thing we noticed was that there were a lot of non-Japanese people waiting in line. There’s only one option on the menu: beef pho, which is around 840 yen for their normal size and 940 yen for a large. You can get it with or without cilantro, and they also have a kid’s size too. The only side option was an egg (which we got) – I think it was just an egg cracked into a bowl, mixed with some seasonings like fish sauce? We enjoyed it by dipping some noodles into it, and it really changed up the flavors.

It came topped with lot and lots of green onions, and unlike the pho in America, it only came with one type of meat! All in all, pretty tasty, and definitely the best pho we’ve both encountered in Japan!
